The BEST CryptoPowered Social Networks or Blockchains To Join

in #steem3 years ago

Here is a list of my favorite social networks/blockchains that pays their users in cryptocurrency. From Best to Decent!

Hive (& associated dapps): Hive was a fork of the Steem blockchain after Justin Sun overtook the Steem blockchain (and then left the chain broken). Hive is a "censorship free" blogging platform, and you can earn other kinds of tokens on the Hive sidechain for extra earnings from content or from your OWN upvotes. You can get paid in HIVE or Hive Backed Dollars (pegged to the US Dollar).

NoiseCash : NoiseCash is an interesting social network that is easy to start earning Bitcoin Cash from. There isn't much transparency in how you earn, but when you do earn your money gets transferred IMMEDIATELY to your Bitcoin Cash (BCH) wallet. If you're a trusted user, you get free tokens to use and you can split your donations with yourself and the person you donated to with the free tokens.

Blurt: Blurt is another fork of the Steem blockchain, but it only has one Token to use and that is Blurt. You can buy and sell your Blurt on the Hive-Engine which gives you access to Hive tokens. The main difference between Blurt and Hive/Steem is that you have to pay FEES for just about every action on the chain, which would be free on Hive/STEEM.

Minds: Minds is very unique in this space as it is treated more like a free speech platform with similarities to Facebook than any other platform available. The cryptotoken, Minds, is powered by the Ethereum Blockchain, which has its ups and downs when it comes to Ethereum transaction fees. You can make money from the platform, but it is geared more towards well established Ethereum holders. Without Ethereum, you can't move any Minds on-chain.

Steem: Steem used to be the big dog when it came to censorship free and cryptopowered social networks. In its heyday it was the GREATEST platform to speak your mind on, but now it's a shell of what it once was. It's not a bad network to join, not at all, but if you don't speak Korean or even Spanish, don't expect to grow on the platform. The English community have mostly moved to the Hive Blockchain.

There are many other social networks out there, but they just can't compete with this list. If you know any good ones, then let me know.
