BASIC GUIDE FOR REPUJADO IN METAL PART 4
Continuing with the basic steps that we must know to be able to emboss on metal, I will show you some images that will allow you to observe and compare the different effects that we can achieve, using the tools appropriately.
Once we have finished embossing the main figure or design, it is convenient to make some effect around it, in order to achieve a quality finish, in this case we will do the calligraphy.
The tools we need can be seen below:
a) Hard surface like wood and soft like a sheet of paper.
b) Profilers and bobbins with rounded tips and metal balls, respectively.
The first effect we will perform is calligraphy: Consists of making circles and more circles with the profiler trying to move at the same time, covering the desired surface, remember that you work from the center of the design to the outside, to avoid generating a unwanted volume in the sheet.
