Today we will be looking at what I called THE LARIMAR OF OUR TIME.
First of all, what is Larimar?
Larimar is a rare blue variety of the silicate mineral pectolite found only in the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean.

Pectolite is not a rare mineral as it is found through the world, but the exquisite sea-blue color exhibited in the Larimar variety is very unique and only comes from one place in the world in a limited deposit in the Dominican Republic and it is virtually the only gemstone to be found in the entire Caribbean.

####PROPERTIES OF LARIMAR
Larimar is particularly helpful for cartilage and throat conditions as it has the ability to dissolve blockage of the head, neck and chest it may also be laid on costricted joints or arteries.

Larimar relieves high blood pressure and stress related illnesses, and may alleriate excessive fire element energy such as infection, fever and inflammation.
It may also be used to treat skin disorder aggravated by stress such as hives, rashes, eczema and psoriasis.

Larimar can be used in jewelry making. Most jewelry produced is set in silver but sometimes high grade Larimar is set in gold quality. Grading is according to coloration and the typical mineral crystal configuration in the Larimar stone.
