The real test begins very soon....Hard fork is upon us, reasons not to worry/how to be prepared
Everyone is anxiously anticipating hardfork .19 in some hous time and no one knows exactly how it will be like.
A lot of posts have gone out making this coming hard fork seem like the apocalypse, but is it?
The truth
Nothing we say, do or fear can change the fact that it's happening at Tuesday, June 20th, 2017 at 15:00:00 UTC, although some of the witnesses have already upgraded.
This hard fork encourages people to gather more steem power as your ability to enjoy the voting process largely depends on your steem power. Although this hard fork is code named "equality" people now have to spread their votes by reducing their voting power percentage.
Users are now given only ten full power votes, although that does not stop them from voting, it also does not affect the five days voting power regenerating window. In fact, you basically have a high voting power as stated earlier which could translate to more rewards.
This hardfork will also affect rewards from curation and the impact of votes to varying degrees
The best thing to do
Do not rush and vote a post that is already trending, instead vote a new and good post and try to make sure it spreads so you will make more from curation rewards as voting an already trending post only earns you a negligible and meagre sum while favoring those who voted on the post before you did. (you can still vote a trending post if you like)
The best thing is to vote other post and helped it grow. So basically resteeming becomes useful.
My advice
Fear not and steem on as I believe steemit wants the best for everybody. There is no need to panic, because I need people to realize that minnows have been complaining about the inequality in rewards distribution and steps are being taken, will the minnows also complain about steps taken to rectify a previously perceived error?
Let us see what this hardfork brings...

It definitely affected how many people were posting last time! Hopefully the same doesn't happen this time around. Good advice though :)
I hope so too
I've only been on Steemit since April, and didn't do anything significant until weeks later. What struck me as odd right off the bat was the "RESTEEM" option.
I see an article really well written or funny. I upvote and comment. Then I go to resteem, because naturally I want to share something I LIKE, and I am prompted with "Are you sure?" Like doing so incurs some penalty.
That never made sense to me. What is also a great turn-off are the "tin cup" posts. By that I mean a post where over half the area of the scroll is glitz, effects, website links and crypto-wallet addresses!
Some of these have good content--but come on people! It's like littering, or covering a scenic mountainside with cheesy billboards and neon signs.
The resteem prompt got me confused too....I initially felt there was a penalty attached to it, it was later I understood
should i be scared ??
No
Awsome post and so good info. Thx for sharing
