RE: Cults And Steem: How Perception Determines Value

in #steem6 years ago

Back to back resteems. Dude - keep up the great work.

One of the psychological traps I struggle with is Fear of missing out. In terms of strict accumulation of wealth, I know that jumping in too early can be even worse than too late. Luckily, many of the cultures I am apart of do not value accumulation of wealth as the highest principle, which allows me some latitude to fight against those cults of mine that do.

Thanks for the kind words. I do believe that all of us are in at the second best time as far as Steem (best being when they did the original mining). We are early adopters, and we have an opportunity that many who will come later will wish they had known existed. As well as those who came and left because it wasn't quick riches as so many seem desperate for.

Dan created this to make the entry easier. He had a vision of it being so easy that they would gain mass adoption simply by the mass amount of people participating. I think our next step is to find creative ways to help spread them as well. Allowances, bonuses, rewards to customers for those who have outside businesses for loyalty etc. The mass adoption alone will help strengthen the perception (cult) and it WILL become valuable independent of Bitcoin.

What an exciting time to be part of this project.
