Income on the Steem blockchain is generated by "investment" (the more currency you have, the more you earn) and by "work" (earning currency by contributing content that adds value). All my crypto holdings are in the STEEM currency. Now I'm working to earn more, by uploading unique valuable content to the blockchain.

It was another rough week of grinding out cents per post. Average growth continues to fall, now to 1%.
If my team's funds were in a single account, it would be the 4180th richest. We had been moving up about 50 positions per week, but lately are just barely making ground against the rest of the pack.
That may change, as I just saved up enough for another month of @threespeak membership, meaning I'll be uploading videos again for the next few weeks, and my income (growth) should be significantly higher.
Here's a graph of my average weekly growth, going back to the beginning of my data:
You can clearly see the previous 2 months where I was uploading to 3Speak. It makes a huge difference, dwarfing the effect of the hard forks and any other smaller factor. This time, we'll get to observe the effect HF21 has on my growth - while supercharged with 3Speak income.

Basically the only option is to hope the price of Steem recovers. Until then almost everything is fooked.

Back to 1% growth, well at least that's not 0%. Still, with STEEM falling at 10% per month, every month, we're not gaining ground :(
3Speak income will boost things, but still, shouldn't we be able to scrape together a tiny income here on our own? If not, is the blockchain working as intended? Supposedly, quality original content should be rewarded, at least to some degree!
