STEEM Breakout Over $8
A few minutes ago, STEEM had another swing up, trading on Bittrex at $8.06. The swing took STEEM as high as 60k satoshis, the same value EOS is trading at right now.
It corrected since then and on coinmarketcap is listed now at around $7.73, but I had the chance to take a screenshot.
Volume is similar wth the last two pushes of today which sent STEEM over $7.
Some very deep pockets are out shopping at the beginning of the year.

Do we know why?
Somebody is buying, obviously. We don't know why they buy, but I assume it's a complex of factors: severely underbought token, SMTs coming, revisiting 100k satoshi levels of May, etc. All speculation, obviously.

E dificil, pentru ca oamenii nu inteleg ca e nevoie de timp, in orice domeniu, pentru a iti crea o audienta si pentru a genera procese predictibile. Dar trendul nu prea mai poate fi oprit. Desi exista o curba de invatare dificila, tot mai multi oameni cu scaun la cap vor incepe sa investeasca timp aici. Spre deosbire de alte ecosysteme crypto, aici minezi cu timpul si cu scrisul. E ceva mai simplu :)
Steem is on fire... I was predicting $10 for june 2018 but now it looks it will take just few hours...
This could be the breakout that STEEM needs to put it closer to the maketcap it actually needs. Would love to see some consolidation now, to prepare for the next leg up😁👍
Oh yes, 8.47 USD currently according to coingecko.com. According to Google Trends, that's not all, and by 2018 we'll have a surprise for us.
trust it will be more than 40$ in next a few months dislike the air pocket it will be steady at those prices

I wonder what this means to the break down of our payouts. Is the 75% 25% breakdown still supported by the witness' at these prices?
Yes. The ratio is 79.02% SBD / 20.98%.
Hectic, it seems to keep rising
At this rate Steem to SBD will reach parity soon. Who would have thought that both crypto would go up 10 folds since just two months ago. Nice :)
From what I see, looks like STEEM is going to take the old value of SBD at USD $14. Looks like the two coins behave as binary stars gravitating in the short term to $8.
Looks to me that whatever must the theoretical relationship of these 2 coins. It is the market that is creating the true dynamics, and not what Witness want to happen.
In fact, may be SBD will never be = $1. Let`s see what happens. The funny thing is that we are "making money from the air" as you explain in a previous post regarding your meeting with a Tibetan US Monk, friend of yours.
