Steemit can certainly become important. But don't underestimate Facebook. I don't think it is difficult for Facebook to make its own cryptocurrency and start rewarding people for creating content. If they have to do this, they can it very fast I think. What is important for Steemit is to make sure it finds a way to set itself apart from other social media platforms by giving some real value that can not be find on other platforms.
