What’s the future of Steem
Hi everyone, this is my first Steem post (how exciting). I find this platform to be fascinating in the sense you earn to post. Wow, where have you been all my social media life. My question to everyone is where do you see other social media sites such as Facebook, Tweeter, etc in a couple of years from now? Do you think they will start paying users to try and compete? Let me know what you think.

I doubt other social streams will start monetizing posts in the same manner -- though it would keep people connected even more. More connection more advertising revenue... There are a lot of other "decentralization" projects going on -- such as POE that may do similar things. LBRY is another one for video curation specifically. I think Facebook is going to end up becoming more integrated with television we've already seen this via livestreams and the deals they have to 'screen' various television shows -- so they'll already have plenty of people online constantly which means more Ad revenue they don't want to share.

Thanks for the response and the interesting thoughts. I can definitely see FB getting even more envolved in streaming makes me wonder if a partnership with something like Netflix or Apple T.V maybe in the works in the future.
