Great post! :) I am very hopeful that STEEM value will grow constantly. Everyone should remember that STEEM market cap was around 400.000.000$, now it is around 40.000.000$ - depends on price, so it is only 10% of previous cap :) Huge potential that could be filled anytime :)

Steemit and other cryptocurrencies will get very large as time goes on. We are moving more and more into a digital age, banks were made as an upgrade to barter when we needed standardized currency, and now as an upgrade to banks we are moving onto a direct form of payment without a bank as a middle man. Social media is also very popular so the creator of steemit was very successful at combining the two into one large platform. Getting on early like we did is likely a very intelligent investment of money and/or time so when it gets bigger, being on from the beginning will make us more successful users.

It's not just the money. It also seems that Steemit is a blow to the establishment in its decentralization. Some Middle Eastern Princeling owns some large proportion of twitter, I'm sure he can direct the flow of conversation on that platform. I'm sure the same dynamic exists on most social platforms. It doesn't seem all that possible with Steemit. Hurray for free speech!
