Favourite Alt Coin for 2018
**Last Year, i was focused and the returns turned out to be exceptional. I invested in Bitcoin for the first time, and kept topping it up on the dips. I don't own a lot of it, but it has built up to be a significant amount.
My other focus was to earn money working hard on Steemit, to potentially buy a Bitcoin from the income i receive on this site. Amazingly, since i only started here in June, i have done reasonably well, not so much compared to the high flyers, but in terms of my own goals, i am satisfied. Steemit has been a slow build up and not is growing over $50 per week, which is a great top up to m income when you think of it over a year.
Next year in 2018, my focus is too build my Bitcoin wallet, every time the market retraces of 20%, nothing is more likely to make serious money than BTC. My Alt. Coin priority is definitely going to be directed at something i have learnt a lot about, and really believe in its potential. Of course i am talking about Steem Power, Steem and SBD.
I see people promoting silly coins that have little use, and simply based on imagined potential returns. For me, i have to see what the coin can do, what is its use in the future? So Steemit wins hands down, it has shown excellent growth, and i feel like it is still very early days for Steemit. The likely returns over the coming 12 months, with regular earning from blogs, and small top ups when there is price retracement, is immense.
I reckon i could grow my Steemit Value above $10000 in the coming year, and that is a lot of money coming from a hobby, and potentially no financial investment, or small investment.
There is one other Alt coin i am keeping an eye on, and that is still in ICO, of course it is EOS. I bought $100 worth when it was under a dollar, and i reckon it could be worth hundreds per coin within 12 months.

Great ..keep it up with ur coin..my fvrt altcoin is very cheap nd give me very good profit..2 days back i baught b3 coin from yobit nd price is very cheap only 1 saroshi nd now its price is 160 satoshi ...how much profit i gain u cnt think...so i decided dat i only invest in cheap coin... Less loss more profit

Totally agree! Looking from an adoption perspective, Steem is a very good pick. It's #1 in number of transactions! This is one of the coins with a huge amount of users (actual users as opposed to speculators!).

Most altcoins are very overhyped right now and solely driven by price speculation! Long term most of them will be outperformed especially by the top coins (BTC, ETH , Litecoin)! New investors also make the mistake to invest in low price coins, thinking they could go to bitcoin level prices... I actually wrote a post about that bias recently:

Good topic. I like VEN quite a bit for an alt coin. Lots of partnerships and real-world applications instead of just hype like others.
