[Steem talk] Moon? Or ricochet?

in #steem5 years ago

I've been listening to people whine about price drop, I've also been listening to people cheering for the "moon"ing event many times over the years, especially in #steem #blockchain this seems to happen a lot often, partly due to the fact that this is a social network platform.

There has been a lot of guessing going on everywhere, why the price hike before the #tron, was it due to BTC halving? Many of these guess has a fair share of theory to support them, and I don't deny it. The funny part was, I don't really feel the pinch from it at all. Moon? Where is the moon?

First of all, nobody been to moon, except for the fact of dozens astronaut landed there with spending of trillions space exploration budget. So, crytocurrency does exactly the same I believe. There's only handful of people manage to land their craft there at the moon. Some went all the way, touching the moon low orbit and gotten a ricochet and slingshot them back to earth. Some even worst, gotten slingshot to the wrong direction and is now heading out of the milkyway.

Dude, #davidke20 you're insane, just like the milkywayman. Wrong buddy, I'm not insane. Its just that I was borned in the Steem Moon. Those who came from earth, they know it's tough to get to the moon. If they gotten a ricochet, they don't mind to come back to earth, pickup a supply ship and head to moon again. But for me, when I look at the price of SBD and Steem.

Seriously, the pricing literally looks like a ricochet of people throwing pebels to the river. The bounces are getting weaker and smaller everytime it went YoYo for awhile due to anything special. To me, no news is good news, be it in reality, in financial industries, in crypto currencies world. Remember, I was born in moon. When I started blogging, SBD was $2, and it went doubled in less than a week to $4 and continue it grows to an extend of $14, and dropped all the way to $0.32.

So, take a look at the rate this is going, the bouncing rate seems to get absorbed by earth, and the pebel has a good chance to sink if it stop bouncing. Don't need to go all excited if SBD hits a dollar. I'd be happy to hear if it goes beyond and break the record of it's all time high at $14, then I truly believe there is hope in it, be it #steem or #tron that is going to win in the end is us.

Having said that, there is no moon unless the price breaks the all time high. I'm not too worry just yet. If it has to go to the moon, be sure you know how to land. Otherwise, no need to keep on shouting moon moon moon when SBD only touching a dollar.

@tipu curate

It’s going to take a pretty big rally to get me to think of selling my stake I worked way to hard for it! I’ve been making the lease market my own and getting as much from it as possible along with my posts!

If I see major price moves I can always use my daily payouts from the lease market to take out some tasty gains and put it into a stable coin for now!

Thanks for the input. I am buying lease still 😂 !tip !shop

Whether you call it a "moon" or a "ricochet", a dead-cat bounce, or anything else you can think of, both Steemit and Steem days are nearly over.

The reality is that because of extremely poor management on the part of the Steem/Steemit teams, the company nearly went bankrupt last year, and yet other than making a few changes such as getting rid of 70% of its employees, it continued down the same road with the same failed business plan. And guess what? Failure again! No surprise there! This time however the company was forced to relinquish all or nearly all of its assets to Tron. Now this may seem like a big deal for some Steem/Steemit die-hards, as well it should be, because their power and corruption opportunities are quickly coming to an end. This especially applies to @themarkymark, his sidekick @buildawhale, and a few others who chose to abuse their downvoting power to silence those that they did not agree with. In other words they wanted to censure and silence those who had opinions which differed from their own, yet still openly allow the Steemit platform to become infested with porn, and other such filth. It's no wonder that Steemit's membership numbers were in such rapid decline.

Thank you @themarkymark! You were willing to put Steemit out of business, even though you were a Steemit witness, rather than change your ways and play the "curator game" fairly for everyone, not just for a handful of top assholes like yourself who reaped over 99% of the rewards, leaving virtually nothing for the majority of Steemit members. Congratulations! You were truly one of the biggest slimballs of them all.

As for Tron, this deal is only small potatoes, and yet Steemit as we now know it, will cease to exist, as will most if not all of its former witnesses. Tron is now taking control, and with it, a lot of major changes will be coming. The writing has been on the wall for the last couple of years. All any reasonable person needed to do was read it.

..

I see what exactly happen. Sometimes, community policing is required in decentralise community, at least to have some controlled measure. Good or bad, is a perception. Some find it useful, some find them as an arrogant prick. If not Mark, I believe someone would. Or we can take our time sitting here watching all kind of spam floating at the trending page. One way or another. My vote worth less, and you've been followed for flag, so here's a !tip thanks for stopping by 🙂

"Sometimes, community policing is required in decentralise community, at least to have some controlled measure."

I agree completely! A certain degree of control, censorship if you will, often needs to be implemented, otherwise as you suggested, we would all be subjected to little more than a forum filled with spam (and porn), and other such undesirable content. The problem however arises when those in control like @themarkymark, chooses to manipulate the system solely to their own personal advantage, rather than to that of the community at large.

Unfortunately @themarkymark and a few like him have manipulated the system to their personal advantage, by downvoting anyone who posses a potential threat to their corrupt activities. These scumballs have manipulated the Steemit system to cheat the vast majority of Steemit members out of their well-earned money while at the same time, raking in $1000s of dollars for themselves. These few scumbags get 99%+ of all curator rewards, which the rest of us are left with virtually nothing at all. And the worst part is that most Steemit members are not informed enough to know that they are being cheated so badly, and those that do, quickly leave Steemit for good as soon as they find out. It's rather sad, really! But thank goodness, things are about to change, and assholes like @themarkymark hopefully will be sent packing. Personally I would put pricks like @themarkymark in prison where they belong, and throw away the key, because they are engaged in the worst kind of fraud and deceit....clearly the main reason that Steemit was destined to fail as it has.

Thanks for the tip! It was much appreciated. :)
