Are You As Excited As I Am About STEEM?
Hello Facebook & Other Social Media Friends, I hope the following post interests you all. My name is David, and I joined Steemit about 3 months ago because a good friend @selfishinvesting informed me of a new social media platform that allows you to earn cryptocurrency for the content you create. Since I am always looking for means of extra income this really interested me, so I created my account.
I Wrote A Post & To My Suprise
The post I made titled Do You Know Whats In Your Foods?, earned a total $16.60. That blew me away and then I stopped writing. I got caught up with finding work and things happening at home. But that didn't stop me from buying some steem and powering up a bit.
I haven't written much since then, but I have been watching the cryptomarkets and I can't believe my eyes! Steem as well SBD ( steem backed dollars ) has blown up, and my STEEM wallet grew from $17.00 at the end of Nov. to $104.39. Seriously Christmas it was at $45.00 I look again New Year's day and I'm in total shock!
What This Means To Me & Why It Should Interest You
You have probably heard of Bitcoin and according to this Washington Post article, if you didn't know that $100 in bought in 2010 is worth $75 Million Today, you sure the hell do now. For me I really can't afford to play around with bitcoin now I missed my chance... for the moment. But I think my luck has finally come with

Conclusion
It's possible that this could be another bitcoin or at least come close to it. Now is the time to get involved in this awesome platform. They also just start DTube in which you earn steem as well, think youtube but decentralized.

It's great to hear how this is working for someone else. I'm brand new to Steemit and sometimes it's frustrating to see everyone else doing great and my own posts struggling to (occasionally) hit the $1.00 mark (twice, so far.)

@viking-ventures don't be too hard on yourself. Also consider that value is more than just one dollar. One sbd is worth over $8usd. When I first started here there Were times it was worth less than the $1usd it is pegged to and now it's 8x that
Thanks! I had no idea that the sbd is worth as much as that - makes me feel a lot better! I will keep at it, I have quite a few pictures to share still! (It's also forcing me to get more of them up on RedBubble and ImageKind to sell there as well.)
how are things with you going?
Hi there. I've got over 300 followers now, still struggling to get good value on my posts, but I frequently have something over the $1 mark now. My record is $6 so far. Nearly two months in and I'm encouraged that this is a good system, and hopefully in a few months I'll be making a bit more on a regular basis.

ive been moving around a lot lately, doing a bit of traveling, been lacking on writing things. Trying to figure out a good subject can be hard sometime lol
