Vitalik Buterin, Founder of Ethereum sets his eyes "again" on creating Social media platform and my thoughts on Steem platform

Vitalik Buterin, founder and creator of Ethereum sets his eyes on creating a Social media platform using a prediction market powered by ETH. Its not the first time Vitalik has shared this idea, in fact, its something he has been talking about since March of this year. Now Vitalik is willing to team up with a project that has further his "Prediction market for content curation DAO" idea.

So far Steem has the first movers advantage in successfully incorporating a cryptocurrency into its social platform that utilizes the Steem blockchain. Nonetheless, as highlighted in Vitalik paper there still appears to be a vacuum around "content curation" and its a market he is putting on his 'to-do' list. Here is a link to the paper:

Its becoming apparent that "content curation" and that of rewarding "value" and preventing spam, fraud/scammers and plagiarism would be the 'Holy Grail' for those entering this space. As censorship becomes more aggressive, this space becomes more attractive and the appeal of blockchain technology with its decentralized nature makes this space very lucrative. There is always a search for the Holy Grail, and I believe even the "content curation" aspect would be a difficult task as "value" and rewarding it, is always in the eyes of the one reading. I believe what is more achievable is maintaining a decentralized blockchain and improving the 'front-end' user experience. There would always be a camp that is not pleased, that's "social" aspect of human nature. Facebook and Twitter in the glory of their valuation still has serious problems, the ongoing 'Left' vs 'Right' is showing how expose these centralized platform are when one camp tries to punish the other by censoring their views.

For me, the Steem blockchain works well, one of the goals of hardfork20 was on-boarding users and I believe that can further its adoption. I believe Steemit should put focus on improving the front-end, probably they can contract a team to do specifically that. More importantly, I believe Steem downfall is really its "token metrics"and that needs urgent attention. If Steem had the supply and circulation of SBD, the noise and frustration of the Steem token would be minimal. If the 'token metrics' aspect of Steem token isn't address I expect noise and frustration to continue irregardless of back-end improvements. While Steem has the first movers advantage, keep in mind, competition is on its way. Don't expect loyalty from dapp developers if they are seeing greener pasture elsewhere, that's human nature. I am not to sure if there is enough demand to maintain a high price given its supply, holders have to be realistic and given some of the disappointment of hardfork20 bulls have to be prepared to defend when the wallets do open. With competition on the horizon, Steem needs a spark from somewhere and also has to try to maintain its user base.

This is very great information hopefully they use it

I am writing because I like to share my thoughts but I doubt anyone takes it serious but lets see what happens
