we need fairer steemit, I've watched beautiful posts with $ 0.00, and already saw a photo of marijuana with many Dollars, you think right?
If you tell me it depends on how much you invest in Steem Power, there'll already understand that steemit is a pyramid, because it depends on who the most.
The whales are simply the people who have been here writing or mining for a few months. They have as much as they do because they were working the system before others. I only have as much as I do because I got involved in early June. Something like 80% of the people here have only joined up within the last 2 weeks. It's not an issue with the whales, it's just too many new users that haven't amassed (and maybe not shared) enough to make a difference for a lot of people.
