how not to get pulled over by the police, a simple guide for the public

due to the rise of negative and deadly encounters the public has experience often occurring during a simple traffic stop. i have decided to write this article hoping that it will save lives and give the reader a basic understanding of police tactics and procedures. and the best way to avoid most unwanted contact with law enforcement officers.

today i will talk about basic traffic signs.

traffic laws are put in place not only to regulate traffic but to also make commuting safer for everyone. so the first tip on how not to get pulled over is to obey traffic signs.

stop signs and red lights: bring your vehicle to a complete stop before a stop sign or red light. do not roll passed the sign and then stop. when that happens it's technical running the stop sign or red light.

speed limits: it should go without saying that the speed limit sign should be obeyed. on the highway or freeway 10 mph over is usually acceptable. however in towns or cities where there is more traffic congestion and pedestrians it's better to adhere closer to the posted limit and not exceed that limit by more than 5 mph.

school zone: always do the posted limit or 5 mph under the speed limit. the safety of the children is at stake and should never be taken lightly. one can never know if a child will dart out in front of your vehicle, so be very cautious in all school zones.

rail road signs: always obey these signs and never try to beat the train. attempting to do so can very well cost your life.

all other traffic signs: these signs can range from caution, warnings, detores, no turn on red, yield, oneway, do not enter and so on. its best to always obey these signs even if they are inconvenient.

following the commands of traffic signs is just one of the basics on how to not get pulled over.
