I imagine that could happen if eos becomes the "go to" protocol and if something like Library credits is placed onto of steam it could really generate some wild growth... but thats a shit load of speculation ;)

i dont know about definitely, but it has been growing astoundingly. From last I checked STEEM was around the 2000th most visited website globally and around 1200th in the U.S. Very impressive numbers but still a bit off from Facebook still (Facebook is always in top 5 I think)
I still think $10 will happen soon (maybe a month?) Random guesses and speculation, sure, but I don't see any reason why something that had a value of $7 couldn't go to $10. The craziest thing is the coinmarketcap chart of Steem Dollars. Who would have thought they would have gone up so much? Everyone expected the price to remain about a dollar, but the price spiked to insanity last year and even now it is doing it's thing.
Even then it won't go that in. Any crypto with inflation will not take part in the same gains as those with a finite number.

I think STEEMIT will be the "Facebook" of the blockchain as time evolves... This decentralized way to communicate is truly about to take off. 💯
