Im not sure whether it is just my blog posts are of no interest to people and my comments are not appreciated but I am struggling to gather steem power. Can anyone offer any advice?
I started to follow you as I and probably most users don't earn anything.
How do you think that investing could solve this? I don't expect a lot more followers just because I have a bit of steem. Neither do I think it will give a decent curation reward.
As long as you keep upgrading your Steem Power your votes will become worth more money which makes them more valuable for other Steemit users. I focus on achieving daily good content, daily new followers and have daily interactions... Growth is key! Rome wasn't built in a day.
As long as you keep growing; your account rises in value. For example if you have a lot of followers you will have a bigger reach and other content writers want you to resteem their articles, this will get their attention.
There a lot more tips I can give to help your account grow, I will probably dedicate an article to this subject tomorrow :-)
What I actually was wondering about is how much steem would give your vote any value? And what curation earnings could you get with certain amount of steem.
I think I remember I saw someone with 600SP and his vote was worth $0.20. If that's the case you should buy 3,000SP to get a$1 vote. Which means you have to spend about $12k. So buying only 20-50SP seems a bit useless.
Saving up this amount of SP would cost is like decades at current pace.
With a bit of luck the 3 minnows together just gave your post $0.01 value 😩
I think most people suffer this issue. I do not have an answer yet, but just wanted to let you know it's the same for me. I think it's most important that you're not only here to make money. So I just try to have fun by learning about steemit, crypto and following others that write lovely content. Earning something will then be a bonus.
I wonder if:
1: do we need a large number of followers? You have just above 60 and yet your post is viewed less than 10 times. Perhaps that number of views even include double count from people returning to react at the comments?
2: should we join a group of users that are a bit cheating? I noticed that one can pay to receive upvotes. People upvote their own content. Friends always upvoting each other. And probably there are many more....?
Originally I bought steem as an investment as I bought them quite a while back for about $20 and now they are fluctuating between $80-$120. I think my biggest fear is that if I use them to power up then if it doesn't go to plan I will lose them if I lose influence. Maybe I misunderstand this part.
I think if you power them up it will take 13 weeks in total to power them down. So if you want to sell on short term that would be impossible. Otherwise I think powering up is the best to do so. All whales also powered up almost 100% of their SP.
I find posting blogs with pictures of yourself help. taking a little and I do mean a little time to take a good picture of yourself and preferably adding some graphics such as a title to the picture goes miles on the platform.
that will help you to standout.
good luck bro.
Also, if you're into hip hop follow me. I'm going to be moving in this Steemit community. check out my latest music video on #Dtube.
It's indeed very hard to catch the attention of readers. I would recommend investing some money so your account becomes more powerful.
That's what I'm trying to do.
Feel free to check out my blog @maxdigi, this way we can support each other.

Looking forward to reading your blog. I'll keep an eye out for it. I am going to convert my steem dollars from my savings to steem power.
I'm Steempowerless as well :(
It's difficult. I suppose we just have to keep trudging on :)
Yeah, its all blood, sweat and tears ;)

What made you decide to put 21 steem in savings instead of powering up?

I don't understand what you mean with lose them?

Ok I'll look in to it more, thanks :)
