Have you guys checked out blocktivity.info?? It's a cool resource showing the most active blockchains, which to some, including these guys at blocktivity, the amount of people using a blockchain is a better metric to gauge value than price. I'm sure no one who's been around here for long is surprised to see what blockchain has the most activity. Take a look at #3 as well :)
As you an see from these screenshots. They have ise different data points to gauge value. The most intereating being the The Activity Valuation Index. They explain it like this on the site
This index takes the Bitcoin value (market cap) and the number of transactions (Tx) per day and makes it an index set to "1". Then, it varies with the other blockchains data. The index grows when the blockchain is very active and its market cap is low. A blockchain with the same amount of Tx as Bitcoin but with only half of its market cap would have an AVI of 2. From the investor point of view, it would be twice as valuable as Bitcoin because it would have the same level of activity with only half the market cap. Another blockchain with half the amount of Bitcoin Tx with the same market cap would have an AVI of 0.5. We can see blockchains like BitShares and Steem having very high index values. That is explained by the fact that they have a very low market caps but they process the same kind of Bitcoin activity or more.
Steem has an AVI of 2,397. Bitshares is at 959, and where's ethereum?? 8 on a good day lol.
What did surprise me was that steem has more transactions than the next 5 combined! All this activity and she is still faster and stronger than almost any other blockchain. Here is a graph of the activity for the past week.
If you were using info from blocktivity.info alone, you conclude that steem is incredibly undervalued. We keep seeing steem at the top of more and more charts, but she still sits at #28 on Coinmarketcap.com. In other words, steem has a bright future. I can't believe we haven't reached $10 yet. truly believe 99% of coins and tokens will be worth $0 in a few short years, only the blockchains that actually have functionality and value will remain, and I believe steem to be one of those if not the most valuable. I'm so happy to be a pioneer to this platform. Invest wisely my friends.
