You know what would be even better? If a majority of bot owners could come to a consensus to suspend all of their services for a limited amount of time and switch over to manually curating for a couple of days. This isn't going to cause any permanent change of course, but it would be a nice gesture towards the community.

Chances that this would happen are pretty much non-existent though and it's easy for me to suggest something like this, since I don't have a big investment tied into Steemit. I'm just curious what the Trending and Hot pages would look like if there was no option for buying upvotes.
