Have you ever seen ad's for steemit on other websites? Probably not. Steemit is a beautiful platform and community. We as a community need to expand steemits user base! These advertising campaigns are supported by upvotes from people just like you! Thanks for dropping by!

There are actually a few steemit users who have launched facebook campaigns but the more people we have doing this, the greater the impact!

this is a good initiative, my team and i also have been running campaigns for steemit on Twitter and today is our last day of the campaign with the hashtag for tracking our efforts #SteemitLife so you can go up twitter and look that up, we always make daily reports of our efforts on our steemit account @project-atlas and also on my own account, the aim of the project is to primarily promote the steem ecosystem on social media's and secondary crypto related activities. you can support us also, because with more supports we got the more we can aim and planned more campaigns on various social media's, thank you.

An ad campaign sounds like a great idea, pretty hilarious as well to make it pop up on competitor websites that are known for mass censorship of posts and news stories. Another idea could be to advertise DTube and DLive on youtube so people notice it more and realise there are alternatives.
