187 ON POLICE IN COLORADO
In Colorado alone there has been 3 police officers killed, in a five-week span.
The first Murder was on December 31, 2017. The shooting took place in Littleton Colorado. One disturbance call, led to the death of one officer by the name of Zachary Parish, 29, and 4 others injured. While the altercation was happening over 100 rounds were fired. Zachary’s wife and two young children have had him stripped from their lives due to this tragic event.
Murder number 2 happened on January 24th, 2018 in Thornton Colorado. A police officer Heath Gumm, 32 was responding to a disturbance/ assault call. Upon arrival to the scene 3 suspects took off running, leading the officer behind a home where he was then shot in the chest.
Murder number 3 happened on February 5, 2018 in Colorado Springs Colorado. Answering a call about a auto theft, deputy Micah Flick, 34 was killed. Micah has been stripped away from a wife, and two 7 year old twins.
My question is this, when will enough be enough?
We have got to stick together and continue to spread awareness regarding these matters. The importance of these public figures needs to be stressed, and not ignored. We continue to blast a cop’s face all over the news when one is caught doing bad, but do little as they continue to get killed one by one like flies. Reading about these murders is extremely horrific. Seeing these men get taken away from their own families over things that did not need to happen, truly gives perspective of how dangerous the job really is.
I wanted to make this post to offer my condolences to all these families who have just suffered such terrible losses. And say THANK YOU to all the remaining officers in our country who are getting up everyday continuing to do the job of protecting us. If you get time to see this post, and live in the USA or any country for that matter and see a officer please take a second and give these men and women a thank you or even a hand shake. There is no need to promote death towards others just trying to do their jobs, when death is already inevitable.

I am extremely grateful to have people in this world who make it their jobs to serve and protect. The events that occurred recently and daily have genuinely hurt my heart. I am a father of three, and could not imagine the kind of future my kids would have if people did not take on such a task. Also thank you for taking the time to appreciate my post.
