Linux giant bashed Intel for its serious critical flaws that exist in their chips over two decades.

Several processors where open to risk by the security flaws named Meltdown and Spectre. Both the flaws affected the majority of the computing world which includes personal computers, servers, and even cloud computing.

The person in charge of open-source Linux kernel has the right to share his thought against the chip giant. Meltdown flaw which can let the hackers to steal away the confidential information such as passwords. The Spectre and Meltdown bug attack the architectural flaw by the way which the processors handle speculative execution. Both the bugs can target the low-level kernel which is protected, allegedly allowing hackers to access it.

He was furious against the Intel on his mail stating that the chip giant should accept that there are issues with the Intel chip sets.

I think somebody inside of Intel needs to really take a long hard look at their CPU’s, and actually admit that they have issues instead of writing PR blurbs that say that everything works as designed., Torvalds wrote in his mail.
Even though there were several patch releases ever since these flaws came to spotlight and soon as the fixes where done, it seems like slowing the CPU processes. Linus Torvalds was irritated about the projected report which showed a drop in performance of CPU by up to 30%.

‘AND THAT REALLY MEANS THAT ALL THESE MITIGATION PATCHES SHOULD BE WRITTEN WITH “NOT ALL CPU’S ARE CRAP” IN MIND.’ ,TORVALDS ADDED.

Torvalds even said, Intel is better at knowingly selling flawed products rather than fixing it.

‘OR IS INTEL BASICALLY SAYING “WE ARE COMMITTED TO SELLING YOU SHIT
FOREVER AND EVER, AND NEVER FIXING ANYTHING”?’, SAID TORVALDS

He said, if that is the case then we should look at the ARM64 people more.

Meltdown patches are available for the various systems while the Spectre seem difficult to resolve the vulnerability.
