ps. Redirecting users to discord (as the only option) may not work well for you guys. Personally I know number of users who tried discord and hated it (myself included). Many of them use telegram. But not discord. Anyway that's just an opinion.

This announcement post is going to send 100% of author rewards to @null (burning STEEM). Why are we doing this? Many members of the Steem community strongly believe that the Steem inflation rate is too high and they would like to have it be reduced.

I like the idea of burning tokens, however it only really make sense if we create demand and then burn purchase tokens (or otherwise tokens that would end up being sold). Burning tokens coming from rewards isn't really changing much. It's really not any different than powering up. It doesnt create demand and it doesn't reduce real inflation (of circulating supply).

Also knowing that my upvote will end up being burned doesn't encourage to drop an upvote. Something to think about :)

Wouldn't you agree on that? Just curious what's your opinion.
