I've wondered the same. I put some into savings but the APR was still 0.
I've heard that SP gets a piece of the pie (a share of 15% of block rewards) each block but I'm not sure if that still happens.
Let us know what you find out in terms of the latest please as this platform is still changing rapidly.
I am not sure that happens...will have to dig deeper on that.
