People still keep confusing Steemit for Steem, as they are not 2 the same things. (you know, but many just dont if I read the comments :D)

On one side it certainly is a social blockchain, as all interactions are visible. Human will make decisions based on their perception of a transaction. Because it has a reward system, the social aspect of the blockchain is highlighted.

How people respond on rewards of others, is one proof that the blockchain is in this category of social blockchains.

Steems full potential is not reached, and that is hopeful for all of us. I see we are still in the stage of the floppy disk regarding to its potential.

But, now more than ever before, as we are liberated from a massive soar, this potential is achievable.
