Steem is just like your average cryptocurrency, but there is a twist. Steem supports users who post content by rewarding them with Steem Dollars. Essentially, Steem has users blog, like I am doing now, and it rewards the users depending on how many votes the post receives.

It is quite simple really, the ingenious idea of utilizing users who spread the word of Steem by rewarding them. The sociability of the Steem platform allows it to prosper and branch out while allowing its users to be rewarded in the process.
