Thank you. Maybe you should start your own Steem Meetup in NYC? It is a great way to connect with like-minded people!
I was trying, a couldnt get any definitive yes answers. Maybe ill just bite the bullet and pay the $15 and get the meetup.com group started.
You really should not mind the $15 dollar meetup fee. You will have so much fun organising meetups and meeting cool people. I am doing it since 2 years and I meet so many cool people. It is amazing. And it also helps to build a local community for topics you love ;)
