Hey JessiExchanges

I don't see a reason to post my usual shit since it will be drowned out and ignored and hey who doesn't love a good hype train. As day 3 of the war rages on, I see plenty of people questioning how we got here, and that's all good and well. It's easy to sit on the moral high ground with hindsight and point out the obvious and who fucked up bla bla bla. It's easy to say what would or should have been done when you weren't the one who needed to take an action.

We can debate about who fucked up and whose view is right till we are blue in the face and guess what? It will get you fucking nowhere unless you have a damn time machine.

The biggest of all the fuck ups

Regardless of where you stand on the whole situation, I think one thing we can all agree on that to collusion to use other peoples stake on exchanges to vote in new governance is all kinds of shady and illegal. Exchanges have been able to operate with impunity for years due to ignorance and no other viable options and have made millions in the process. They sit in a grey area as a necessary evil in the crypto space and have been enjoying it for years.

I will openly say I'm biased because I did leave cryptocurrency, in fact, ALOT of cryptocurrency on an exchange and I was hacked and they did nothing about it, just threw up their hands and said oh well! So if I can do something to fuck them right back im going to get on board.

Exchanges fucked up in a big way here by offering custodial funds to be used, and to that, they need to power up. By getting community witnesses back, we can keep that power up at the current 13 weeks and give them the biggest PR nightmare they have ever had.

Let it be known that Binance, Houbi and Poloniex use customer funds as they please and I'm sure it was done for some sort of promise of profit. Well, that's my motivation, I can't speak for anyone else, but I like to see the toxicity on steem be put to good use for once.

Have your say

What do you good people of steem think?

So have at it my Jessies! If you don't have something to comment, comment "I am a Jessie."

Hey @chekohler, @katrin-lux nominated one of your older posts to my upvote giveaway but unfortunately, I only got to it now and the post was already after the payout so let me cast that vote here.

I am Jessie as I pretty much agree with everything written here ;) Those exchanges should be shut down.

@katrin-lux is such a sweetheart and thanks for stopping by. Yeah, I agree, they've also got huge shares of the market and clearly too much of the liquidity so they can pull off such brazen actions. I can't even believe the level of arrogance to do something like this, what the reasoning was I would love to know.

Give them hell Steemians, thats how I like this place, a real wolf pit

Allegedly, they believed it was because of a planned HF but this affair has just "fake, outrageous and disgusting" written all over it... I wish this whole thing got some really massive exposure in media so that the public knows what kind of assholes these are...

If we can keep the 13 week power down as the rule gosh it would be brilliant, they would not have a leg to stand on for 3 months lol I say let them feel the weight of their decisions.

If anything more crypto users and blockchain projects should be taking note of what we're doing. I get a lot of people want a swift resolution but to me this is bigger than just STEEM.

We shouldn't roll over because certain demands are met, it makes us no better than these "thieves"

Let those exchanges take the fall for their actions.

Let them feel the pain, if they are never burned and made an example of other exchanges as well as the ones in question will think it’s okay to fuck around with other peoples money for their own personal gain!

Let this be a lesson to eveyeone not to keep money on exchanges

I also think what the exchanges did was wrong, but it appears what they did is not illegal.

Illegal for me is always a tough one becauze it was to be proved in court and they able to obfuscate a lot of data and misdirect a judge or panel easily

But what they can’t do is bring back a ruined reputation in the crypto community! We need to milk it for all it’s worth! Even get apposing exchanges and people involved in running DEXs involved and get their opinion on it!

We have a media circus waiting to happen all we need to do is reach out

I watched the townhall and I am so confused about why Justin sun/Tron want the steem blockchain. They absolutely have no idea of the internal mechanics. Why buy something if you don't know how it works?

I can’t say for sure but what I assume is that he was sold steemit inc under the impression the witnesses could either be replaced or were sock puppets to begin with and he could merge steemit with Tron like he did with dlive abd Bittorrent but this shit coins got a few more complexities to it after the last 4 years

I don’t think he realized exactly what he bought and the conditions that came with it

When making a more than million dollar purchase it seems like fact checking is a must. It really seems like their team didn't even read the white paper.

I cannot believe that Justin Sun is that gullible. I would be inclined to think that he is just playing the victim card because that gives him a way to be able to discuss with the witnesses/community.

We only speculating at this point but overconfidence is a bitch and sometimes the swindler gets swindled. STEEM was seen as a dead end project and he thought he could port over users to make his shit Tron network look active, when in fact its all bots and garbage dapps

This is what happens when you don't try to build a business, but just spend other peoples money and think you're an entrepreneur

I am a puss... Owai... Jessie I mean. Exchange already cleverly dodge all that misused at once, because exchange does not guarantee your cryptos regardless. At most they destroy their reputation, once again, scramble the code, create aliases to split the stakes again, start a new business, and bam. We have new super exchange again and everybody will forget what happened in the past.

And legal? It's not even bind with the law. Define illegal to buy a technology company called stinc. Define illegal to make use of the ninja mined. Define illegal on smart contract has to do with the cash that paid for the purchase of stinc and it's ninja stake.

In general term, I agreed to all of your above statement, but nothing was defined in the law. Once again, who has the key, who has the rights to use that stake. The moment the sales was done, the property being transferred, so as the liability. It's up to the community to overpower the "owner", make the owner bear the liability? Or we all can sit down here and watch the 1 button instant power down happen. Trust me, just in case 24 hours power down we can still quickly fill up the top 20 and reverse the fork, so just in team should be well aware they can only have 1 chance to move all stake out, that 1 click, not 1 minute, not 1 hour, not 1 day. Just in time 🙂

Always a voice of reason aren't you? I agree they can get out of legal shit I mean even just bankrupting their companies and re-establishing it will save their asses.

I agree it was up to enforce the social contract of the ninja mine stake and yes it went bad, we couldn't get to speak in a room and agree on shit but whatever that's in the past.

What I'm sort of counting on is the fact that these crypto people were dumb enough to consistently try to build a personal brand and attach it to the companies, everyone knows CZ from Binance and Justin Sun from Tron so even if they try to spin up and move somewhere else that reputation stays with them. that's where I'm banking it.

What VC wants to fund people who got caught with their's hands in the cookie car? Then again I don't know how it works in China, but that's sort of my idea

Is just in reside in China? Am I in China? I think the debate is, personal preference 😂 Now, without the auto vote, things got really real! I'm glad I respond to your posts two straight days! Considering I'm a Jessie 😂

I mean like the business and cultural landscape in China would they still be like okay you guys fucked up all is forgiven or would it be like I can't believe you would try this shit, you're scum

Lol no autovotes, shows who the OGs who actually are being followed are, clearly i got some support for my shit talk

Generally, Chinese are egomaniacs. Look at how Binance bail the situation. Despite they did bail, but they protect their decision by saying they will do it again if it has to be done. From what I understand, not many Chinese know how to apologize. They know they did wrong, they will try to correct the situation, but you can't call them out or they will take that as personal attack 😂 sorry I mean WE. Fucked, I'm a Chinese 😂

Oh and by the way, majority of Chinese from mainland China, is here to scrub the sheep fur as we refer to (trying to take a quick grab), just like just in. So, I think we all kinda understand if they fucked up. We may not forgive them if that killed the chain, but they will be temporary forget if substantial amount of TRX to replace the existing useless steem be given 😂 That however, is temporary, if the same shit happened, then the short term amnesia curse will be removed and suddenly everyone will put a blame on how steem was killed and everyone will have to resort to TRX on and on, just like now everyone is putting a blame back to Ned. Oh wait, weren't we all the same? Chinese or not, this lesson shows a lot of unity in the entire Blockchain. I'd say, the best event I've attended(attending I mean) in my life! To me, every other reason anyone pointing out for this event is excuse. The fork could have happened when ninja mined was discovered in the first place. The top witnesses are just way too comfortable with the witness reward and decided to let things come to this stage.

In that case I’d say give Justin back his stake remove the sock puppet witnesses! Let’s go back to working on gettig SMTs and the rest of the roadmap up and make it public on media sites what the conditions of the agreement is

If he tries to pull some shit we go back to this mexican stand off we have now

He gets us on more exchanges and connects us with Tron if he feels like it most of us don’t care about that

Assists some dapps in development

Then he can sell his stake for a nice profit and move on with his life and eveyeone is happt

Yes their are so many ifs and if only and now the chickens have come home to roost and we have to deal with it! It’s interesting to see how a large group of people have to find some sort of common ground! Justin wants something, the witnesses want something, the community wants something and all have different ideas on how to get their

Most of us do just want our bags pumped but okay

Well...well...well...🤷

Let the games begin!

The fight and war will bring nothing good for anyone. We need to move forward and adapt toward the change and reality.

Its brought me a lot of entertainment, so I've already got that going for me which is nice. I'm sure eventually cooler heads will prevail but let me enjoy my anarchy

I have never used an exchange.
Since witnessing the fall of Mt Gox and various other exchanges I have stuck to plain hodling. I was tempted from time to time but still have yet to trust any, even as they offer free crypto.

and rightly so, I just had to learn it the hard way. Lol I see Kucoin has decided to list steem now that we're the darlings of crypto lol we should really milk all this press
