RE: Steem's Value vs Newbies's Resources Credits (RC)

in #steem5 years ago

hi @juanmolina, thanks for pointing out this hot topic. I did not realize this fact.

The first thing that came to my mind is how HF2.0 was approved. I don't know much about steem consensus but i guess that witnesses took part on this approval. If that's the case maybe is good to know the pros and cons taken in consideration by the witnesses.

Basically what I see is that you have to put money to make money.

I'm going to be brutally honest about this: I think people like me who are in a under developed country does not contribute with enough monetary value in comparison with people who can afford to buy a good amount of STEEM, so our opinion does not matter too much.

However, the idea is not about blaming, is about finding solutions. For that reason some crazy ideas come to my mind:

  • stop writing and invest time in other things that pay more and then buy STEEM, maybe fiverr or something like that

  • create an ebook and sell it in Amazon or other platform. The creation process can be posted in steemit as well as the promotion.

  • post content with some commercial info, maybe affiliate links, etc.

  • maybe create a "community" account. I mean, an account owned by a group of people. this could be something like a multisignature account, but i don't know if this can be done in steemit.

  • publish content in WordPress, blogger, etc and summarized it once a week in steemit. we can comment outside steemit without RC restrictions. we can also monetize in those plataforms, in other words, create a community that also interacts outside steemit

Sorry for being so pragmatic. I understand if these ideas don't make sense to you.

I hope this helps or at least put some fire on the discussion
