Burning Steem is the next best option currently. Who knows, this can start a bidding war where tons of Steem is burned!

I'm afraid I didn't follow this metaphor :)
I look at burning steem as a bad thing. On one hand we would be benefiting temporarily, but in the long run its not a good thing to do. IMHO.
I may not understand how this works.
