Can steemit compete with facebook?
I like steemit, it has potential. One question I have is can it compete with the big tech social media? Can it compete with Facebook?
With the censorship going on with big tech social media, I can see people dropping big tech for other platforms. I did. I killed facebook, twitter, you tube. Typing this on an apple iPad Pro. My next move is to move away from apple. I refuse to support big tech when they are so against our constitution. If I walked away, I can see more walking away also.
Can steemit draw them in? No! Let me explain.
Steemit has some potential, but has some bugs that will keep people away.
First, steemit has censorship that is alive and well. If the little fish on steemit or noobs, make a post and someone doesn’t like it. They flag it and it is hidden for low ratings. This is the reason I will not use steemit very much.
Second, steemit is a platform where all the whales are making the money. It is very difficult for noobs or the small fish to get their content seen.
Third, steemit is not very user friendly. Yes, if you are computer savvy, it is easier. If steemit wants to compete with big tech, it has to be easier to use. Most people do not want to deal with complicated platforms. They want to post and go.
Fourth, What got big tech , really big is .........networking with family and friends. The biggest negative I get when introducing people to steemit is.........I cant keep up with my friends and family.
Overall, I do not think steemit will take off and compete with big tech. Steem currency has not done very well over the time it has been trading. This is a red flag. Cryptos that have promise have taken off. Steem is below a dollar. If steemit was going to take off, steem would have done better.
This is just my observations of this platform. I like it, it has promise. It just will not take off until some or all these issues are changed.
steemit, busy, dsound and all its allies can compete against the big networks but steemit goes with a change of consciousness that all people will accept for the same survival of them. I think it has great potential but to use it you need a change in the way your users consume it

That was not anti gay. It was an argument they are not born that way. Wow. See you cant even have a conversation about it. You see it as an attack so you flag. Learn how to have a conversation about it instead of attacking. You may be surprised how far you get.
you would be surprised, how many people say that, about conversation, I've found over the time that they actually don't want that, so your not the first nor will you be the last.
