Poloniex finally post a statement with regards to the Steem issues. No solution found, best to go elsewhere.
If you have been trying to use Poloniex for Steem transfers and trading you will know by now that there have been big issues. To make everyone who uses Poloniex even more worried they did not make any announcement about the issues until now.
Logging onto Poloniex the following is stated on the Poloniex trading platform:
"STEEM is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdraws will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the STEEM team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling."
There are many alternatives you can use with the below working for me at the moment:

Poloniex gets worse and worse every week... they also screwed their customers by not distributing the lumens from stellar airdrop...
Yeah the Lumens one was brutal. In fairness Stellar have to take some of the blame on that one too.
Good that you're getting the word out. It's sad that some already lost Steem but at least others won't fall victim to the same thing. Good work.

It's sad to see a few of my Steem Dollars go to shit when the exchange is boasting about the prices going up 50%+ lol.. thankfully I decided to power up with my 400+ Steem instead of sending to Poloniex. Always, always send test amounts. You never know!

Get a hardware wallet not a web wallet where they have your private keys. As always I recommend a Trezor but there are many others.

The only thing that can happen in your situation is to wait (up to a few weeks) for that pending support ticket to be answered. Mine got a response finally after 5 weeks on my last issue, oh and I made notice to it with a second ticket ;p

Polo is sooo shady. Why in the world would a company making the kind of profit they are have such horrible customer service? Shutting down the troll box was a huge red flag and a flat out lie by them. They are a shit company with bad management that will most likely fail soon, taking everyone down with them.
I think you have said out loud what everyone is thinking! I miss getting hammers thrown at me for shouting sell and buy at random alt coins :(
