Long posts or short summaries on Steem?

Which type of posts fair better on Steemit? Lengthy posts or short summaries? I've found that at times my short summaries do a lot better than the lengthy posts I've posted but that might also be due to my different time zone compared to the majority of active Steemit users. Also psychologically wise, we tend to visually compare length to quality. What are your thoughts on this?
