If you are exchanging your steem dollars to fiat at a heavy premium, You should realize too that there is people who believe in the system more than you. On the opposite side of the trade there is another person buying those steem dollars at a discount. I am one of those people. I do think that steem dollars will maintain a peg close to one dollar. One reason I am confident is because I saw everything Dan and the Bitshares team did to make sure that bitUSD maintained the peg back in 2014.
