3 Underrated Witnesses you should have on your vote list.
We need good, reliable Witnesses!
If you're not familiar with our Steem Witnesses, they are a group of devoted Steemians who provide the framework on which Steem lives and breathes. They are the engine room engineers, fueling the boilers and greasing the cogs to make sure the Steem engine runs smoothly.
They are also highly active members of the Steemit community, and work tirelessly to contribute to the upliftment and betterment of the platform. Each has their own area of interests, and alongside maintaining the smooth running of Steemit, they engage with everyone else in their areas of interests.
I haven't been here long, but have encountered a few witnesses already, who are fantastic ambassadors for Steemit, and continuously work to make Steemit a better place for us all.

3 Of the most underrated witnesses I have encountered directly, or indirectly are:
@ausbitbank, current ranking: 27 (undervalued!!)
On since July 2016, and touted as one of the friendliest whales around, @ausbitbank runs a tight ship, being highly proactive with the development of Steemit, and always one of the first to implement updates on his witness nodes. @ausbitbank is also involved with #minnowsupportproject, and is the creator of @centrelink, helping struggling Steemians find their way. Some even say he never sleeps!!! @ausbitbank should be a top 10 witness at the very least.
@dragosroua, current ranking: 62 (only? you're joking!)
A slighlty new witness, but still highly experienced, joining in October 2016, @dragosroua continues to make valuable contributions to the steemit community, including his http://steem.supply tool to track your expected rewards. Whilst one of the smaller witnesses around, he is still highly commited to seeing Steemit become the best it can be.
@teamsteem, current ranking: 60 (come on!!, really?!)
Joining Steemit in May 2016, @teamsteem is a full-time steemian, and witness. He puts himself out there and actively promotes Steemit out in the wild, and is a valued contributor to may causes, including #minnowsupportproject. @teemsteam is very active behind the scenes, and is a wealth of knowledge for anyone looking for assistance.
You need to vote for witnesses
All three of these witnesses are long-standing members of the Steemit community, and their engagement with, and support of, all Steemians is testament to their dedication to make Steemit the best it can be.
If you want to see Steemit continue to be as successful as it already is, and to grow to be the powerhouse it can be, I highly recommend casting a vote for these 3 witnesses. They truly deserve to be right up near the top of the Witness list.

You mentioned three witnesses,and twice you referred to #minnowsupportproject. Yet You failed to mention @aggroed ! who started it also with help from several other great witnesses! Who are all undervalued!

I don't disagree with you at all on this. I can only go on my personal experience and encounters with witnesses along my brief journey on Steemit. I have no doubt @aggroed and others are worthy witnesses in their own right as well, and I hope those Steemians who recognize this will cast their votes, just as I have done with the 3 I mentioned. I am not familiar with all the witnesses involved with #minnowsupportproject, but I do know it is doing great work within the community here.
I am sure that, in time, I will engage with many more witnesses who are working hard for the platform, and deserve my vote. I will vote for them as I become aware of their great service to Steem.
Dead Witnesses... From what I can tell, the dead witnesses are the ones crossed out on https://steemd.com/witnesses. This is the full list of witnesses, of which are quite a few crossed out, which I assume are dead.

You're a great example of what Steemit is all about, and do a lot of good work. Your witness node(s) are also super reliable and always up-to-date. I hope you get up ibto the top 20 soon. Thanks for your service to the Steemit community. 😀
I disagree with your choices, I believe witness should have the technical skills to keep a node running and be proactive toward building the system. Doing one on one help session with minnow does help on-boarding but in a very linear way.
I understand what you are saying, and I do believe all three have the technical ability to keep their nodes running. From what I can see, these 3 witnesses do have reliable nodes, and are proactive in their approach to maintaining the overall integrity of the system.
Moreover, they have diverse skills which, when combined into the witness team, creates a strong support base from which to build the platform and make it even better. Each witness is part of a bigger team, which needs both technical abilities, and a stong presence within the Steemit community. These three have both, and so are worthy of my vote, and deserve to be higher on the list.
