Feature I think would enhance Steemit
Steemit is an incredible platform which is constantly evolving and bringing more people together. I find myself using it more and more and, as a keen user, I feel obliged to post about anything I feel would enhance Steemit, whether it be a good article or something that will inprove the platform.
I think Steemit would benefit greatly from something that alerted users to the current level of traffic, both on the overall platform AND across your connections - your followers and those you are following.
What it might look like
I've put together a very rough illustration of what I am referring to. Something like a window on your homepage that contained the information in the table below. The level of traffic could be indicated using a traffic light colour scheme or something to that effect.
What are the benefits
One of the key purposes of Steemit is to share interesting articles and discussions with other people. If there was a way of maximising that "reach", wouldn't that be a positive development?
A simple feature like the one I'm proposing would allow users to reach more of there followers and improve the efficiency of the Steemit objective (in my opinion). What I'm proposing is just a bit more transparency for the benefit of the community. I'd love to hear feedback from the community and @teamsteem

Good idea.....I can never tell whether everyone is fast asleep by the time I make a blog post around 11 pm. Hope Steemit developers are reading and taking active notes!

I guess you can use steemd to find out , but it would be a cool feature in app. Thanks for sharing
@cerebralace I totally agree with you. Part of moving from the analog world to the blockchain world is understanding that it happens in the 24 hour a day 7 days a week sphere. Steemit and all of the new sites to come will be connecting more people in more locations than we have ever had. Facebook was still relatively segmented unless you are a public figure. Great idea. I know OKCupid will tell you when they are experiencing high usage, but I've never seen a feature quite like this. Seems like it would be stupid easy to implement. Steem could be even more of a pioneer! Upvoting.
So if I get you right, you like to use such a feature to publish your posts in times of high activity so you can reach more people? Sounds like an interesting idea!

I think this would be a great addon. Some posts just aren't published at the right time, so no one sees them. But a traffic indicator like that could change this.
