I found this post after you posted it on the Bitcointalk thread about Steemit. There is fair and then there is "it just is". You can worry about fair all day and it won't make a difference. You can deal with '"it just is" by figuring out how to excel in that environment. Knowledge and hard work tend to make things quite "fair" for those willing to put some time/energy into and endeavour.
