The First Big Game Launch For Steem ?
Games are an awesome way to bring awareness to a cryptocurrency but also to get it circulating and used to drive the price up.
Today I ran into the Alpha release of @steemmonsters which you can of course follow their updates and what the game is all about here - https://steemit.com/@steemmonsters
At its core it is a basic card collecting game which your cards can be leveled up, combined to make cards more powerful and have stats on your cards. These stats are then what are used when you battle in torments vs others who have bought cards with steem.
The price for them at the moment is pretty low (granted it is not playable yet and in alpha) - https://steemmonsters.com/
I picked up 10 extra packs which didn't cost much at all just to start leveling my cards a little and try for those epics and legendary cards!
So far I have a little luck and picked up Defend of Truth Epic card! YASSSSS lol

I am starting to see more and more games popping up on the Steem blockchain. I will have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing.
This is a great example of the flexibility of the STEEM blockchain that can be used to continue the growth of the ecosystem for further adoption.
I'm really glad to see Steem being put to use yet again. Sadly, it's under-utilized and under-recognized.... That will change soon.
Did you see that Microsoft, Nintendo and Electronic Arts(?) are going to be tying future games to the Ethereum blockchain? What's that going to do to an already stressed network? :D
Ill have to read up on that had no idea, but seriously they need to start building nodes for this kind of stuff
These are great first steps in introducing the blockchain to gaming industry. As a gamer myself, i am really excited to see this concept grow :)
