you don't care quitting FB because you don't have stocks in it :D powering down and selling steem is like selling stocks from the company :D
i think everyone came here because they heard that it is a way of earning shit by posting blogs. now most had high expectations of getting rich now and easy. some of them did some research, got invested in the blockchain... some just used the opportunity and powered down and sell on the high and move away, and some just calculated that time spend > money earned so they quit.
i am kinda in the middle of it. my favourite community "evolved" and fell apart because of that. i never got to steem this, steem that communities as i don't really know a lot about it (learned quite a bit but...) and most of the other non crypto communities are doing so so as there is no that many people.
Most of them that quit will come back if prices goes up.
"I regret leaving Steem because I lost connection with my friends?" probably not, as you don't quit if you care :D
I find it funny that many of the social media execs don't let their kids use it :D
And they won't care about satoshis.

8 months ago i had no idea what satoshi is, and i can only blame steem for caring about it :D

In the end people will use crypto and not give a toss about why.
