The rep number is one of those that probably should go away because it is so easily gamed by using certain bid bots.

I don't care my rep, I don't care my followers, No more than I care about yours. I DO care lots about the people behind (aside?) those numbers. And what we can do together.

I went and looked at my numbers on Steemit. I had a 30 with 36 posts until I'd been there a few seconds then they jumped.
