Your posts, your contribution to the platform, and your upvote is worth more when the price of Steem Dollars is high. If you haven't noticed, the discrepancy between SBD and Steem is making your upvotes worth more right now. This gives people incentive to buy Steem, as they can vest in Steem Power in order to have a stronger upvote and, in turn, the ability to influence, spread wealth, and earn more from their followers based on any reciprocity, etc. that might entice someone to vote for them. Additionally, higher upvote power means people have a more reason to be here and user engagement promotes value for the system and is a catalyst for long-term growth. I don't want the value of the Steem Dollar to get out of hand, but I am also seeing it now as an EXTREMELY POWERFUL mechanism to keep STEEM from falling below a certain value!

I saw a pump of SBD in huobi i don't know why but it's commonly to see that kind of pumps some times in the year that's great for trade and get more sbd and steem :). Regards
