Hi guys, Today I'm going to talk about a very well known fruit in venezuela that is the passion fruit or the passion fruit.
It is said to be a silver of passion for the way it grows and because it is a climbing plant.
The flower is presented individually; It can reach five centimeters in diameter in wild varieties, and up to twice as many in those selected for their ornamental value. It is normally white, with pinkish or reddish tints; other species have colors that range from intense red to pale blue.
The passion fruit is an oval or round berry.
It is a fibrous and juicy fruit, covered with a thick, waxy, delicate and inedible shell. The pulp has a lot of little seeds. The color presents great differences between varieties; the most frequent in the countries of origin is yellow.
Due to its superior visual appeal, the fruit of Passiflora edulis, red, deep orange or purple, is usually exported to European and North American markets. This variety is known as gulupa in Colombia. It is of aphrodisiac use.
