RE: [Discussion Post] Is Steem really a social blockchain?

in #steem6 years ago

Do you think Steem is solely a social blockchain? If not, what else can it be used for?

First thing is to fully understand what the terms ** Social and Blockchain** is,?

Social means needing companionship and therefore best suited to living in communities.

While a blockchain is A system in which a record of transactions made in bitcoin or another cryptocurrency are maintained across several computers that are linked in a peer-to-peer network

Looking at the above two definitions we can see that Steem can serve as both a social blockchain users living in online communities keep a record of transactions such as transfers of cryptocurrency.

What facilitates these transactions?
Engagement facilitates these transactions. Steemit is designed to reward users in their form of cryptocurrency called STEEM and transactions occurs when users want to exchange their tokens for real cash in their local currency.

As long as it's relates to writing, it can be used to write a whole lot of things ranging from articles, quotes, essays etc.

It also has to be original and free from plagiarism. Original works published here protected by copyright. It's a safe haven for writers.

It can also be used to advertise varieties of items as with other blockchain but it has to be well constructed in an engaging manner.

Thank you very much. I hope this answers your question.
