Quick question for seasoned Steemians! Prob a n00b question.. but I have it!
The .GIF is just click bait!
I have a question for all you Steemians out there..Why is it that payouts change?
This week I have seen upvoted blog posts go up in value.
Does the market price (in crypto land) determine the amount of how much SBD/STEEM you receive?
I don't get it.. why does it go up and down in value? @dhouse?
my penny turned into 2 pennies ;oP
Now you have some more..
thanks so MUCH!! WOW.. rare to get an upvote like that. TY!!!
@bearbear613 you can check the average Steem price pretty good on this site: www.steemnow.com. You can check your own upvotes and curation etc... but also the average Steem price and how it is calculated. Now the last few days Steem has been risings, so the average price rises too... Simple as that!
It's because the price of Steem is rising. Basically the upvotes are allocating you a certain amount of the reward pool. It's allocating you a set amount of Steem and SBD. So when the price of Steem rises, the value of the allocated Steem that your getting for your post goes up. Hope this helps, and I hope things have been good for you!
thanks @drpuffnstuff life is a mary-go-round or more like an elevator.. or both - lol
Some good day's, bad, days, blah days.. today not so depressed. Thanks for checking in bro. Good man. ;)
From the charts i have seen I noticed that the price of steem has gone up. It seems when bitcoin goes up, so does steem. Great question @bearbear613
Maybe we'll never know
This is why there was a big hulabaloo about people buying upvotes for 6 day old posts, you could really score on those if the price of steem went up since the time you posted it
those days are gone.. people complaining about bid bots have nothing to complain about now. Most of the time ROI is negative. Anyone spending on a bid bot surely is losing money, and perhaps the bid bots are becoming what they should have been (a post promoter)
