Nothing concrete that I have seen and I have run this by top witnesses on the network here.
I think things started when the tether "hack" happened and people were looking at the markets for a USD pegged asset.
But they clearly did not understand the FUNDAMENTALS of the SBD currency and related peg to USD
That is exactly what I was thinking to.. The timing was right around the time of the Tether hack. SBD isn't serving its initial purpose, but has been fun to trade! :D
