Should I move SBD to STEEM?

I'm still confused on the difference between STEEM Dollars and actual STEEM. In my wallet, I have 0 STEEM, but about $14 SBD. Are there negatives and positives for doing so? Or is SBD just a secure way to hold my funds long term in case the price of STEEM goes down?

Good question! ...but this was 9 days ago and no replies. I wish I could resteem for you but it's not an option any more. (I guess due to the age)

I decided to. I first used the conversion method that took 3.5 days to transfer before I figured out the selling it through the internal market. I figured the STEEM market is changing more rapidly than the SBD market.
