WE ARE GOD'S TOOLS

We must understand that we are tools and instruments in God's hand. A farmer has digger, spade, hoe, cutlass, wheelbarrow etc he may not make use of it all at the same time but they are all very useful tools. He select what he wants at a particular time depending on their functions and the need of the time.

A hoe can not function as a wheelbarrow. Every tools has its own peculiarity. Lack of this understanding has made many to get offended with their pastors and the church. Now to those who sometimes feels underutilized, time has come that you have to be mature enough to understand that it is not your job to use yourself, it is your job to be available, it is God's job to select which tool he wants to use at any particular time, and as long as you prepare and make yourself available, God will know that you are there that you are prepared and that you are ready to be used. If God does not use you at that particular time, it does not mean that you are not effective or capable. It may mean that the task he wants to do does not require the type of gift that you have.

Now you will appreciate that if you are forced into a situation, or people have manipulated you into a position which demands you are not gifted and /or prepared for, then shame and abuse will follow. If people try to make you what you are not, it is better you refuse and wait for the light to hit you so that you shine. Whatever it is that you do you should not do it at the moment that you are going to be effective and competent. God bless us.
