Meet the OnePlus 3 Killer!

in #steem8 years ago (edited)

Hi Steemers,

After reading @ozmaster's review of the OnePlus 3, I decided to write a review on what I consider to be the OnePlus 3 killer - the OnePlus X.

I've never owned a OnePlus X, but reading the endless reviews and praises of the phone's performance, design, and price (only $199), I'm considering buying a OnePlus X instead of a OnePlus 3.

Let's get started on the review!

Design

OnePlus outlines on their website that a smartphone "should feel instinctive, fluid, and undeniably effortless," and they've accomplished just that with the OnePlus X.

The OnePlus X is made of all premium materials that include a type of ceramic known as zirconia. Zirconia ceramic has a very high resistance to cracks and thermal expansion which is why it's often the material of choice for joining ceramic and steel, which is what the OnePlus X is constructed of - brushed anodized aluminum and zirconia ceramic.

The anodized aluminum frame completely surrounds the body of the OnePlus X and features chamfered edges along the sides, and the beautiful scratch resistant glass adorns the front screen and back like a fine piece of jewelry. The whole process to craft the OnePlus X takes a whopping 25 days (a month), and the result is a design that undeniably dazzles.

Display

Thanks to the battery-saving 5” Active Matrix OLED 441 PPI screen, the OnePlus X is capable of producing the deepest blacks and the most vivid colors without sacrificing battery power. The OLED screen also features Ambient Display which wakes up the OnePlus X to tell you when an important notification arrives.

What does this mean? It means that the OnePlus X has fast screen response times and improved sunlight viewability and readability, amazing viewing angles and screen experience both indoors and outdoors, and the OnePlus X is capable of accomplishing all this without sacrificing battery life.

Camera

The OnePlus X boasts a 13MP rear camera with a f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP front facing camera with f/2.4 aperture. The camera sensor uses ISOCELL technology which increases light sensitivity, sharper images and less noise, and allows blazing fast auto-focus and crisp high-quality photos in any condition.

Onboard Tech

The OnePlus X features a dedicated and powerful graphics chip that can take anything that's thrown at it. You can record 1080p videos with ease, and stream HD videos without hiccups. Additional onboard tech includes a microSD card slot and an FM radio antenna.

Connectivity

The OnePlus X comes unlocked from the manufacturer and is capable of using two SIM cards which both support 4G speeds. With that in mind, the OnePlus X gives you the freedom to use it anywhere in the world, which makes it the perfect phone for any wanderlust, traveler, or location-independent entrepreneur.

Looks promising. Thank For the Post

Thanks for checking out the review @fourpercents.com!

I was considering a One Plus 3 too! But now I may have to rethink that. Thank you xD

Thanks for checking out the review @cherish!

The OnePlus X is a very capable phone, and I would say it's close to and if not on par with the OnePlus 3.

I'm rethinking getting OnePlus 3, and instead I might just get the OnePlus X. At $199, it's kinda hard to resist not getting one.

Thanks for the comment and upvote.

Hi @alberfall,
Thanks for the links. It does look impressive. However, if your look this link, then you know there is a difference. In term of cpu, size and storage. It is more like a stripe down version for OnePlus 3. But, definitely a very good phone for the price.

Thanks for checking out my review of the OnePlus X @alphabeta!

I do agree with you that there is a difference in terms of CPU, size, and storage, and it is arguably a stripped down version of the OnePlus 3, but then again at the price and build quality, I can't think of any other smartphone that comes close to the OnePlus X.

I agreed with you on that.
