Since we just celebrated The World Pharmacists Day, I want to share with you why Pharmacists are considered to be Drug experts.

We celebrate The World Pharmacists Day yearly on the 25th of September. The theme for this year is "Pharmacists: Your Medicine Experts". Yes, you've read that right, MEDICINE EXPERTS.
Pharmacists work in different healthcare settings such as community drugstores, outpatient clinics and hospitals.
One of the roles of a pharmacist is to read and interpret prescriptions. This is essential to ensure that the prescription is safe and that the patient receives the right medicine with the right dose in the most suitable formulation.
We discuss and counsel our patients about drug information; their reactions with other drugs, food, herbs and supplements; harmful reactions, and dosing schedules.
We use our expertise in drugs and harmoniously work with other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive OPTIMAL TREATMENT.
